Rationale
This project was one of a series of investigations of GP-hospital integration undertaken for the Department, and built upon an earlier review of the role of GPLOs.
Aims
To describe:
- Changes in the role of GPLOs since the earlier evaluation.
- The impact of the GPLO role on relationships between hospitals and general practice.
Design and Method
A national survey of Divisions and hospitals, interviews with key informants and case studies.
